What I'm currently reading: The Telling Room: A Tale of Love, Betrayal, Revenge, and the World's Greatest Piece of Cheese
Possibly the strangest piece of nonfiction I've read…so far, I'm enjoying this. Paterniti is a great writer and has a wonderful way with words.
Up next (not necessarily in order):
11/22/63 by Stephen King
I gave this book to my dad for Christmas when it came out last year. Personally, the only book of Stephen King's I've read is On Writing (which is fantastic and highly recommended), because I'm not much for horror. After reading King's memoir on the craft of writing I was inspired to read one his not-so-horrific novels to see this master of writing in action. I've heard great things about this book!
Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford
I borrowed this from my mom a LONG time ago...it's been on my shelf way too long. It's time to read.
The Haunting of Maddy Clare by Simone St. James
This was one of the books my mom brought back for me from BEA in New York this year. I don't know much about it, but it's good to have a "mystery read" every once in a while.
Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
This book has been on my shelf (and my to-read list) for YEARS. It's about time to show it some love…
